Enhancement of Child Adoption Leave from 135 days to 180 days

It has been decided by the Govt. of India to enhance the period of Child Adoption Leave from 135 days to 180 days. A female Govemment servant in whose case the period of 135 days of
Child Adoption Leave has not expired on the date of issue of these orders shall also be eligible for Child Adoption Leave of 180 days.


It has also been decided that a male Govemment servant (including an apprentice) with less than two surviving children, on valid adoption of a child below the age of one year, may be sanctioned Patemity Leave for a period of 15 days within a period of six months from the date of valid adoption.
These orders shall take effect from the date of issue. (This order was issued on 22nd July 2009 vide DoP&T No. No. 13018/1/2009-Estt.(L) = G.S., NAPE-C

ADR Vacancies for the years 2006- 2007

The order issued on 13.7.09 relates to revival of vacancies. The Directorate is yet to apportion cadre wise posts to each Circle. The order is expected to be released either on 27th or 28th of this month. Hence the order will be published only in August 2009 issue of Postal Sentinel.
